Best international smart phone

Blackberry user wants to switch to an iPhone or Android smartphone. Travel internationally and work through corporate Exchange Server. Need quick, economical and easy access to voice, email, contacts, calendar. What's the best choice?

It was odd actually- this time around I did not have to do the hand holding when she switched from using a BB for five years to the iPhone 4 w/ ATT. Very nice transition with no glitches that I am aware of. Her needs essentially mirrored yours. My brother in law did the same thing- BB -> iPhone 4. He travels internationally once or twice each month, FWIW. Lack of a physical keyboard was not the deal breaker for each of them that I thought it might be.
